I "bought" my first Julips! If my quick typing was accurate, I got a dog, a cat, and a pony! I was hoping for a Saddlebred, but none came up. The little Welsh Pony is an acceptable substitute... for now... Everyone get what they were hoping for?

I think you mean quarter horse as there's no such mould as saddlebred.

Yes Dawn, but it looks more like a Saddlebred than any QH I've ever seen. But eeee, I'm so happy for you! The welsh pony is one of my favourite moulds and I think you'll be hooked!

The old Julip website lists a Saddlebred in the "Originals Gallery." Sorry if I'm calling it by the wrong name--I went with what I saw. I'm a bit less excited about the models if that's what they call a Quarter Horse.

I'm a bit less excited about the models if that's what they call a Quarter Horse. It's just the mould name, it's a mould that's been around since the '60s so it's been called that for a very long time - it will always be the Quarter Horse mould but you can make yours into whatever breed you like, a lot of people make theirs into saddlebreds or similar

I'm sure that if you reffered to it as a saddlebred to anyone they would know what you mean, as it does look 100% more saddlebred than quarter horse

That's the mold, and there are a bunch of them listed as Saddlebreds. Not sure what was going on in the '60s that someone thought that's what Quarter Horses looked like!

It's julip, most of the moulds look nothing like their assumed breed from the mould name Like Elli says, most people tend to assign their horses different breeds anyway. The child's jumping pony for example is actually sized like a tall slim arab, but it doesn't really matter at the end of the day.

Well, the mould has changed quite a lot over the years (it's quite small and slim now but used to be a little bit chunkier and taller), although it didn't look that much like a QH back then either, but you have to remember that in the UK there aren't that many saddlebreds or QHs around! The Julip range has always had a good selection of sizes and shapes of horses though, and the ones named after breeds are all very easily adapted into different breeds with different colouring and markings

Thanks The AQH, Storm, was my first ever original so the mould has a special place in my heart, but it's not my favourite. Most of the moulds are fairly off from the breed they say they are, it's one of the charms of Julip, I think.

Thank you to everybody who took time out to look at the spares, i hope everyone got what you wanted and if not there should be another batch this time next month ( give or take ), if you did buy something from this batch, i will be contacting you shortly so watch your forum in-box but please note that it might take me a day to get through them all. If there is anything missing from this batch of spares that you would like to see in a future batch, whether that be riders, a certain mould or more foals, please feel free to share here or on the forum in general, we would be happy to hear your feedback. The next batch should hopefully be larger than this one as i have several ready to paint and more in moulds, so watch this space .

I'd love to see a lippi in unusual colours, More unusual coloured foals including a foal in colours like that Appaloosa mare as my previous one needs a matching foalie (that mare was similar coloured), there were some real stunners in that batch!

I guess I'm the odd one out--I wanted more solids in "basic" colors. Every foal was spotted, and all the cobs but one gray were spotted. There were several nice chestnuts and bays, so I'm not really complaining, but I would have liked a solid-colored foal. Also, I apparently like the Quarter Horse mold. One in black, bay, or chestnut?

For what it's worth, I'd love a tricolor kitty! <3 I'm too poor at Uni to buy much else right now, but I love the eye candy.
