That all sounds very organised!
Good question on the re-paints, I think if the model is pretty much the same basic colour as it started off, and you have only maybe added some socks or blaze , re-whitened it or just generally 'freshened up' paint work , then it can go in it's own colour class, if the change is more dramatic and you have painted it from bay to dapple grey then it can be put in the 'Custom, decorator and PYO' class.
If you've ever seen the lists I take to live shows, yours has to be better than that. My handwriting has a way of not including all the letters in each word, and half of what is there looks nothing like the letter it was meant to be, so I pretty much have a notepad of scribble to try working from
I write out each class and then add in which horses will go in them, as well as a list at the side of each horse I'm bringing. I'm having to be quite brutal as I won't be able to take a lot on the train with me.
I've just packed up all my horses! All going well we'll be heading off on holiday this Thursday, to Dumfries as usual, then on to Cheshire to see my grandma, then I'll be getting the train down from there, so I don't have much time to plan!
I can only bring one suitcase on the train, so everything's stuffed in there, lol, but I've managed to keep a couple of horses out in a separate bag so I can take them places on holiday the week before and photograph them without having to faff about with the suitcase. (Also it means I don't have to worry about how to pack any potential spares! ) Unfortunately the lack of space means I haven't really haven't been able to take much in the way of props so my performance and scene entries aren't going to be very good this time round.
