As this is the last 'Model of the Month' for this particular year (we will be carrying on in August but with spectacularly spotty rosettes!) the category for July 2015 is 'My First Julip', this can be either a HOTY or Original whichever you prefer to enter it's up to you, if you no longer own your first Julip then the model you have had for the longest time will be ok.
Please post a photo of your Julip below to be in with a chance of winning the last stupendously stripy rosette
Only one entry per person.

This is Harlequin (HOTY) who was my first julip. My mum bought her for me after I came home with a catalogue from a toy shop (I was actually suppose to be looking for something for my little sister).

Adonis (I've had him for well over 20 years now, wow. I coveted those models (the rubber HOTYs) for so long but he was the only one I ever managed to get new at the time. By the time I could afford another one they'd been replaced by the plastic ACs and the Sundance and Moondance moulds, none of which I liked that much. I was so sad.)

This is Abbeymore Pink Fizz I saw her at my very first live show and had to have her. I had never heard of Julips before then but it was love at first sight! She came from Dawn Walsh's collection.

Joker, my first original. I got her at *roughly* 10 years old one christmas after hasselling my poor mum for months! Making her about 12 years old She has glue on her back from where I tried to make her a harness out of ribbon at some stupid time of night with Jen before the New Year Live about 8 years ago P1010568 by Josie Thompson, on Flickr

Cearan Mhoire Candlelight
My first Julip Original! He was painted for me at the first Utterly Horses Hullabaloo and was something of a little girl dream come true as I used to spend many a long hour pouring over the Julip adverts in my horse magazines, dreaming of those unobtainable bendy ponies. I may have been 30 at the time, but I was 12 years old inside when I picked him up off the sales table.

Shadow - Arab mare.
Bought direct from Julip in 1976 I think... I spent ages and ages studying the catalogue and price list before choosing this mould, grey was the first of my three colour options (can't remember what the others were). Won't be long before she gets to her 40th birthday!

Love seeing the older Julips! My first is only a year old: Maple, with the stable pets that also arrived from the second (?) spares sale here on the forum.

Thank you to everyone that entered July's 'Model of the Month' competition, it was lovely to see everyone's first Julips and to read the stories that went with them. This month I've chosen ......
The very gorgeous Pebbledash owned by Chrissie the last stupendously stripy rosette will be on it's way to you shortly.
Pebbledash will now go through to the grand final. This will be posted in the next few days with all the past months winners and ( hopefully if I can get it working!), a poll system with a community vote to choose the overall year champion, who will receive a snazzy prize.
To see the new 'Model of the Month' for August and to be in with a chance of winning the first of our spectacularly spotty rosettes, please go to the new thread.
