Seems EG and I had the same idea! No Julip bunnies here, but the hutch is for my yard's guinea pig, George. George was actually made for me years ago, I think for a forum secret santa when I was a member of a guinea pig forum. He was made to look like my real guinea pig George, and had a little screw in his back to attach him to a necklace. However I found him on the necklace a few weeks ago, realised he was perfect Julip scale, and freed him! The hutch is made from coffee stirrers, with silver cardboard hinges from a tube of colgate and some mesh we had going spare at home I want to put it on some little stilts to get it off the ground at some point, and make it a better roof as the one it has now is just thick black cardboard. But it does the job and George likes it P1020084 by josietoes93, on Flickr P1020085 by josietoes93, on Flickr

George is adorable, and he seems to be quite at home in his hutch. I'm still trying to figure out what these wooden coffee stirrers are all about; ours are like tiny plastic straws and no good for anything like this.

Everything can be useful if you look hard enough! Great hutch! I had some of that mesh stuff too but could u find it when I was making my own? Of course not! XD

The Julip bunnies have inspired a lot of creativity, so many hutch projects all of a sudden! This one looks perfect for a guinea, though, nice and low to the ground so he can get in and out (when we had a guinea pic living in a rabbit hutch we had to make a front doorstep with a brick cos he couldn't get all the way up in one jump!)

I love these hutches. I've tried in the past and failed. Will have to give it another go in the future
