Too be honest she'll never sell it at that price especially with her attitude x

I've already asked her if she'd separate things as I'm interested in a couple of the horses. She said no and this is about the 8th time I've seen them listed, she's asking for far too much!!

Yeah, I asked too when she last listed them, and didn't even get a reply. I wonder how she's arrived at thinking that she is charging the right price?

I've listed a building that would be suitable for use with Julips tonight - it's on the smaller side of julip scale so do check the measurements in the listing, but it's a lovely little building that contains a tackroom and an office type room. It's listed in a dolls house category but should come up if you search Julip

The same seller has 2 others as well, a chestnut TB and a piebald welsh cob. I'd love the TB but it's way too expensive.

Yeah. I saw that. And I did something stupid... ... and I got him. I mean: If I can throw away money on a car, I might as well throw that last bit of money away on a old rubber pony. I just... I... I couldn't help myself. I just totally freaked out when I saw him. I've only ever wanted one specific vintage model and that was a vintage TB with a wide blaze. And with braids. He doesn't have those, so I've to find a way to get that sorted. Any suggestions on a fellow Julip collector/renovator who might be able to help me out? Oops.

I'm so jealous now You mean braids like individual plaits like on dressage horses? (Not some kind of fancy Spanish horse braids or whatever cos I can't do those). If so I'd pull the old mane out and make plaits out of embroidery thread (or sometimes yarn but they tend to get bulkier). You plait a long length together, tie knots in that long plait at intervals to form the individual plaits then you poke the sections in between the knots into some glue in the neck slot leaving the knots showing on top. That's how I did the plaits on the horse in my icon and this dressage horse plaits by A Study in Scarlet, on Flickr

Yes, exactly like that! Excuse the incorrect use of terms. I'm rather good at needle-and-thread braiding (excuse me: plaiting) full size horses, but I'm afraid I won't be able to handle a Julip. I've also gotten in touch about it with EG, so I'll have to figure out what I plan to do with him rehairing-wise. Thanks for sharing your info!

Julips have a habit of multiplying swiftly when you aren't looking, it's really rather inconvenient for the old bank balance! XD

And then they start staring at you all cute and adorable and you'll happily live on plain bread for the rest of the month. Haha, nooo I'm joking. I still got peanut butter left.

I like the Fell pony. Quite a nice mix of old moulds, there!

Some really pretty models in that group. Wonder who snagged it.
