I've decided to run a fairly small scale pay to enter photoshow for now. (If it goes OK I will probably run a larger scale one with more prizes in the near future)
Closing date: June 30th 2019
Entry fees: £3 per block of entries (this gets you a maximum of 3 entries per class (i.e. you can enter 3 in class 1, 3 more in class 2 and so on) so therefore if you'd like to enter up to 6 entries into every class it will cost you £6, and so on).
Payment to be made by: paypal (friends and family option please) or UK cheque or postal order or cash in UK pounds sent at your own risk. (Please PM me for my email or postal address so you can make your payment).
Open to: Julips (Originals and Horse of the Year models, including Originals animals) and Magpie Models only although any riders, tack and any buildings, props or other accessories featured can be any make.
Entries can be submitted on this post, to me by PM or by email to me (please PM me for my email address). (You can also enter actual print photos if you'd prefer, again PM me for where to send these to, but you will need to cover the postage to have these returned to you)
There will be one winner per class, each of whom will win a rosette. The overall winner/champion selected from all the class winners will receive an additional rosette and a mystery prize. All the rosettes have been upcycled by me from older ones but they are very nice, honest.
(This probably won't happen but if I do get loads of entries I will award some additional rosettes and possibly some extra small prizes)
Obviously you have to be willing to give me your name and address to send things to if you do win anything. I'm probably OK with sending prizes to most overseas locations.
All the money from the entry fees will be donated to Tia Rescue which is a rescue for greyhounds, lurchers and horses.
I want this to be a fun photoshow so class categories are not intended to be super strict so for the types just pick the one you think best fits your model(s). For foals pick whatever class fits the breed/type you've assigned to the foal. For zebras and hybrids again just pick the closest match by size or type (e.g. if you have a Julip zebra on a small mould you could put it in 'ponies and donkeys'). Equines can be without tack or tacked up in the pictures and with or without a rider or handler. Either plain backgrounds or 'scene' backgrounds are fine just so long as I can see whatever the photograph is meant to focus on.
Also it will help me if you give the horse or animal's name or a name for your scene when entering your pictures so I can write up a proper winners list at the end.
I hope this covers everything but if I've missed anything important out just ask.
