Inspired by ziggybea's fantastic knitted creations, I wanted to make some jumpers for a couple of my HOTY riders. Unfortunately, I can't knit and I just don't have the patience to learn but ziggybea very kindly gave me a couple of tips and although it's taken me a while to get round to it, I have finally had a go at making jumpers from a pair of socks! I made the one on the right first, as a test to see if the pattern I had would work. I used a pattern I found in my craft stash for a one-piece doll's jacket, amended it very slightly and hey presto! It worked! The one on the left I made slightly shorter and I'm really pleased with how it turned out! Now I know what to do with my old socks!

Jumpers
Now all your riders will be wanting jumpers and you'll end up wearing odd socks!

I've only just seen this, that's a really good idea for people like me that can't knit, I love the one on the left.

Using socks to make jumpers is genius. Is there a tutorial out there for the less naturally crafty?I've all the enthusiasm and non of the talent. Such an amazing idea

There is! Obviously this one is aimed at Barbies and dolls of that scale but you can easily shrink the pattern or simplify it for Julips. m.youtube.com/watch?v=n4WxKSw23QY
