My first parcel from Julip HQ in several years arrived today! Here's who was inside... 2 new labs, Daisy the yellow lab named after my neighbours dog, and black labx Tess (an accidental 'portrait' of my own dog). Tess even has paw pads painted on! I noticed the cute little rope toy with one of the other spares dogs so had to make one for Daisy when I saw she had a mouth slit. Look at her little eye lashes! I didn't see any of the details when I bought them. Also inside my parcel was a sweet little grey and white kitty I have yet to name and a JRT called Fudgey (after a stable dog I knew in Wales). Josh is my older black lab in the middle. And last but not least a stunning, fast-moving streak of sleek white fur - an arctic fox! His name is Pukajaak which apparently is Inuit for a sugary type of snow. As he looks a bit like he's made of icing it seemed appropriate. And here's the whole bunch. Laura has painted on some beautiful eyes, full of character without being ridiculously large. Oddly enough I see many more latex dogs in my future…

Eee! Lovely doggies! I'm really tempted to whip the scalpel out and give my dogs a proper mouth now...

What a gorgeous little selection, hoorah for portrait dogs (a few of mine are named after real ones I've known even though they were accidental lookalikes not specially ordered), and the rope chew-thing looks great in his mouth - how did no-one ever think of mouths on dogs before?! The little fat terrier is my favourite, though, he looks great in his collar

I love that they have mouth slits, great fun! Are all the dogs getting them now then? When I saw the spares I had just thought that the toys were glued on

I think a future Julip wolfhound or greyhound would be fantastic to pose, but a pain in the bum to cast I'd imagine! XD

I had actually thought of having a go at wiring the labrador's legs as they are a bit longer, there were one or two dogs in the first batch that had wired tails

Ooooh, do it! It's a pity the terriers are so stumpy, it'd be hilarious to have their little blobby feet poseable. XD
