Yesterday I finally got round to making some tack for Neville. This is the first proper tack I have made for my Julips (apart from, strangely, a bright pink circus set for a scene at the Julip Live ) and it went a lot better than I expected! The bridle is quite messy and has no throatlash and only one cheek piece on each side (both without buckles) but it will have to do for now as I don't think I have the patience to fiddle around with tiny buckles after making all those pet harnesses back in April! The stirrups on the saddle are adjustable and were terrifying to make as I couldn't find any pliers to cut the wires and had to use kitchen scissors, which meant that every time I cut the wire it would ping back at me, nearly taking my eye out (thank goodness I was wearing glasses ) ! Now only six more ponies in need of tack sets!

That's brilliant, well done I know exactly what you mean about the wire ping - it always either aims at your eye or fires off across the room somewhere when I cut them

Lovely little tack set and especially good for a first try! Neville looks pleased with himself and Rose looks quite proud

That's brilliant! Your rider sits really nicely in it too
