His white face really suits him, I have a question though - how do you pronounce his name?

Tadhg is pronounced ti - gue - say 'tiger' and leave the 'er' sound off the end of it! If you go on one of the Irish name sites you can listen to Frank McCourt pronouncing the names which is quite useful (babynamesofireland.com). I think Shanachie was a storyteller.

He was my favourite and how ironic that my other half is called Tiege which is the same pronunciation and is irish for Timothy!

He's pretty and he knows it!! So is this a newer mould made from a HOTY ? Or did I just forget this one? I do have an excellent forgettery.

It's the 'Sport Horse' mould, aka an Originals version of Moondance, so, yeah. XD

Not sure about the Sport Horse bit though - he looks like he is flat out refusing to do anything - definitely has attitude!

How did you decide what name to give him?
I find it harder to name some models than others

I have a notebook that I jot down all the names I come across that I like - they can be from myths and legends, stories, real life horses I have known. I knew he was going to be an Irish Sports Horse as I bought him because he reminded me very much of a friends batty ISH dressage horse that was chestnut with 4 white stockings, a big blaze and attitude. Tadhg was on the list of Irish names and he 'tried it on for size' and it seemed to fit him. All my Irish and Welsh horses have names which come from those cultures, either proper names, place names, or from literature, folklore, history etc. I haven't any Highlands or Shetlands in the herd yet but they would also be named in the same way. The donkeys all have names beginning with 'D'!
