As some of you may know, we have had a fair bit of snow here over the last few days. All work and no play makes Sam very cranky, so I took a quick break from shoveling this morning to take a few photos of my newest Julip "Lovesong" having some fun in the snow and put together a very quick photostory. She disappeared all the way in at one point so I had to dig her out, hopefully she won't suffer any ill effects! It was a lovely crisp, cold morning. The snow still covered the ground but the sun was shining and Ruth felt it would be best to let the horses out in the field for a few hours to stretch their legs. The newest arrival, Lovesong, was not used to being cooped up in a stable so Ruth let her out first... She ran and squeeled and kicked up her heels, sending snow flying everywhere. As fast as she could, she scrambled up the hill through the thickest snow, "Careful, girl!" called Ruth! Soon she slowed to a trot around the field, happy to explore her new surroundings. "Glad I didn't bother with a rug" laughed Ruth, as she set off back to the barn.

You sure? Not even just a foot or so? It's fun....! Just kidding, I'm a bit sick of it now, and they are forecasting more for tomorrow!
